How much does a new boiler installation cost?

New boilers typically cost £2,500 to £6,500 fitted. The cost depends on the type and size of boiler, the property, the existing heating system, and whether additional pipework or system upgrades are required. We can assess your requirements and provide a clear quotation before any work begins.

How long does a boiler installation take?

A straightforward boiler replacement can often be completed within one day. More complex installations, including system changes, new pipework or relocation of the boiler, may take longer.

Which type of boiler is best for my home?

This depends on your property, hot water requirements, number of bathrooms, available space and existing heating system. We can recommend a suitable boiler based on your individual requirements.

Do I need a new boiler or can my existing boiler be repaired?

Not every boiler needs replacing. If your boiler is repairable and economical to maintain, a repair may be the better option. However, if the boiler is old, inefficient or experiencing repeated faults, replacement may provide better long-term value.

Can you move my boiler to a different location?

Yes, where practical. Boiler relocation may require additional gas, water, heating, electrical and flue work. We will assess the proposed location and explain any additional requirements before installation.

Will you replace the boiler pipework?

Where required, we can upgrade or replace pipework as part of the installation. This helps ensure the new boiler is correctly connected and operates safely and efficiently.

Do you remove the old boiler?

Yes. Where included in the quotation, we will disconnect and remove the existing boiler and dispose of it appropriately.

Do you install the boiler, radiators and heating controls?

Yes. We can provide a complete heating installation, including the boiler, heating controls, radiators and associated pipework where required.

Will my new boiler be tested after installation?

Yes. The boiler and associated heating system will be fully tested on completion. We check operation, heating performance and relevant safety requirements before handing the system back to the customer.

Will you balance the heating system?

Where required, we can balance the heating system to help ensure radiators receive the correct flow and the system operates efficiently.

Can you install smart heating controls?

Yes. Smart and programmable heating controls can be installed where compatible with the boiler and heating system.

Is a boiler installation covered by a warranty?

New boilers normally come with a manufacturer's warranty, subject to the manufacturer's terms and conditions. We will explain the available warranty when providing your quotation.

Are you Gas Safe registered?

Yes. RC Renovation Ltd is Gas Safe registered (number 984795). Gas boiler installation work must be carried out by a suitably qualified Gas Safe registered engineer, and we ensure the gas work is completed in accordance with the applicable safety requirements.

Yes. The appropriate installation and compliance documentation will be provided where applicable following completion of the installation.

What happens if my boiler stops working after installation?

Can you upgrade an old heating system at the same time?

Yes. Depending on the condition of the existing system, we can discuss upgrades such as new radiators, heating controls, pipework improvements, filters and other heating system components.

How much does boiler repair cost?

Boiler repairs typically range from £100 to £700+, depending on the fault, parts required and time needed. A diagnostic charge applies. We will explain the repair cost before carrying out additional work.

Do you charge a diagnostic fee?

Yes. A diagnostic charge covers the engineer's time to inspect the boiler, identify the fault and advise you on the best solution.

Can you repair all types of boilers?

We can work on most common domestic gas boiler makes and models. The availability of parts and the age and condition of the boiler may affect whether a repair is possible.

What boiler problems can you repair?

We can diagnose and repair issues such as: no heating or hot water, low boiler pressure, ignition problems, boiler error codes, leaking boilers, faulty pumps, faulty fans, diverter valve problems, thermostat and heating control issues, circulation problems, electrical and component faults.

Is it better to repair or replace my boiler?

It depends on the boiler's age, condition, repair cost and reliability. If the boiler is relatively modern and the repair is economical, repairing it may be the best option. If it is old or requires frequent expensive repairs, replacement may offer better long-term value.

Can you repair a boiler that keeps losing pressure?

Can you repair a boiler that is leaking?

Yes. We can inspect the boiler and associated pipework to identify the source of the leak and advise whether the component can be repaired or needs replacing.

My boiler is showing an error code. Can you fix it?

Can you repair my boiler on the same day?

We offer repair appointments subject to engineer availability. Same-day and emergency call-outs may be available, particularly for heating and hot water breakdowns.

Do you provide emergency boiler repairs?

Yes. Emergency and out-of-hours boiler repair services may be available. Additional charges can apply outside normal working hours.

What happens during a boiler repair?

Our engineer will inspect the boiler and heating system, diagnose the fault, explain the recommended repair and provide the relevant cost before proceeding. Once approved, the repair is completed and the boiler is tested for safe operation.

Will you supply the replacement parts?

Yes, where available and appropriate. Parts required for the repair will be discussed with you before installation.

Do you repair boilers under warranty?

If your boiler is still under the manufacturer's warranty, we may advise you to contact the manufacturer or approved warranty provider. We can also inspect the issue and advise you on the available options.

How long does a boiler repair take?

Simple repairs may take around 1–2 hours, while more complicated faults or repairs requiring additional parts may take longer.

Can you repair an old boiler?

In many cases, yes. However, the age, condition, availability of parts and overall cost of repair will be considered. If a repair is no longer economical, we can discuss boiler replacement options.
